We love your kids and would love to see them at other events throughout the weekend; however, we are requesting an adult only ceremony and reception. Please find arrangements for your children the day of the wedding.

In the interest of the summer season, we ask that our guests wear any color except for black. Mountain formal attire suggest dressing to impress while also considering the elements and the mountain climate. Wild Basin Lodge is located at an about 8000 foot elevation, and will be around 20 degrees cooler than Denver. In the summer, rain and thunderstorms can come unexpectedly and with an outdoor ceremony we ask that our guests are prepared for a warm day and much cooler evening. We will have umbrellas on site in case of rain, so no need to bring your own!

Estes Park has many short term rental options on Airbnb and VRBO. Additionally, we have listed various hotel options on the travel page to check out and help determine where would be most convenient to stay.

Wild Basin Lodge is about 15 minutes from downtown Estes Park. There is overnight parking at the venue for anyone who would like to drive to and from the wedding. We will be providing shuttles to and from Estes Park for guests who do not want to drive, locations/times for pick ups and drop offs will be shared closer to the wedding day.

These forms of transportation are VERY limited in the mountains. We do not suggest planning on this as a mode of transportation for the wedding or much of the weekend. On the day of the wedding, we will be providing shuttles to and from the venue to the after party location in downtown Estes. There is a free trolley system, many paid shuttle options, and some taxi services that we have listed on the travel page.

Denver International Airport (DIA) is the closest airport to Estes Park. It is about an hour and a half drive to the town of Estes should you rent a car and drive from the airport. We’ve also listed a shuttle service on our website that takes you directly to and from the airport to the town of Estes. We do recommend that you book this early if you choose to use the service as it will be peak season!
