Our Wedding

Our love story first began in February of 2020 when we matched with each other on a dating app while we attended The University of Southern Mississippi. At that moment in time, we could have never imagined that swipe would have led us to our forever soulmates. We talked to each other every day for over a year, but nothing was becoming of our relationship. I almost gave up hope—until… Jake *finally* came to his senses on a random April night in 2021 and asked me out of the blue to come visit him in Georgia. I was stunned, but better late than never, right?? In June 2021, I packed my car up and drove to Georgia for the first time having no idea of what to expect. On my trip, Jake took me on the most perfect first date to the aquarium and on the Ferris wheel in Atlanta. I remember driving back from Georgia smiling from ear to ear the whole way home. We made things official a month later on July 11th,2021. We continued our long distance love story for a year and a half before Jake came to join me in Mississippi. On our third anniversary, Jake planned the most perfect day consisting of a beach day, yummy dinner , and what I thought was a normal ride on the Ferris wheel at Margaritaville (symbolizing our first date). As we reached the top of the ferris wheel, Jake tells me to look at the beautiful sunset behind me. To my surprise, I turn back around to see Jake on one knee asking me to marry him in the most perfect way. In hindsight, I now see why Jake was so nervous that day. He had no reason to be so nervous though, since we both know we were always meant to be.
