How It All Began

Who would have thought a little app could spark a lifelong love story?

In August 2021, Savannah and Jacob's paths crossed on Hinge. Jacob remembers sending message after message, determined to get a date, while Savannah insists she agreed without hesitation! Their first date at Culinary Dropout was filled with laughter, shared stories about family and friends, and a spark that neither could ignore. Jacob, then working as an EMT, piqued Savannah's interest when he shared his dream of becoming a firefighter. (If you know, you know!)

By the end of September, Jacob and Savannah made it official, embarking on countless adventures together. Their first big trip was to Iowa for Savannah's aunt’s wedding, where Jacob charmed her family with his kindness and humor. Next, they rang in the New Year in Jacob’s hometown of Spokane, Washington, where Savannah quickly won over Otis, the family dog—a seal of approval that sealed the deal!

Over the years, they’ve traveled near and far, visiting family and friends, camping under the stars, tackling challenging hikes, discovering new breweries, and even adopting another cat. Together, they’ve built a life full of laughter, love, and shared goals.

Jacob achieved his dream of becoming a firefighter, with Savannah cheering him on every step of the way. In turn, Jacob inspired Savannah to follow her passion and become a police officer. With their unwavering support for one another, they’ve earned the title of “power couple” (your words, not theirs).

The Proposal

In September 2023, Jacob and Savannah traveled to Iowa to celebrate Savannah’s birthday and her parents’ anniversary. But Jacob had a surprise up his sleeve. During family pictures, with everyone gathered, he got down on one knee and asked Savannah the question of a lifetime. Overwhelmed and overjoyed, Savannah said “yes” without hesitation!

The Next Chapter

Now, here they are, thrilled to celebrate their love with their closest family and friends. Jacob and Savannah can’t wait to begin this new chapter together, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them. Let the celebration begin!
