Our Wedding

We first met at Everett's first ever Intern Barbecue in Orlando, Florida. Our first date was right after our birthdays in April 2021. We went to Hawkers Asian Street Food, the first of our many, many foodie adventures. We shared everything, which is basically our love language. After that, we were inseparable. We went scuba diving in Jupiter. Our first trip together was to the Enchantments in Washington in August. We backpacked and explored some of the most beautiful mountains. We figured if we could survive sleeping in a tent together for a week.... we could survive plenty more. Over the years, we have grown together and explored the US and parts of the world. We both have the travel bug. We hiked through Switzerland, a favorite of both of ours. On January 13, 2023, we woke up at 1:30 am to embark on a 13 mile hike to watch the sunrise over Las Torres in Patagonia, Chile. We had just traveled over 24 hours to get to Patagonia, so the early wakeup call was brutal. At 5:55 AM, Everett dropped to one knee and proposed right as the sun was illuminating the famous towers. It was the most perfect proposal and one neither of us would do any differently. Since the proposal, we have continued to enjoy our shared meals, walks, travels, and every moment in between. Everett is finishing his training in Philadelphia, PA, and will wrap up in August 2024. We have some exciting travel plans after that. We know our lives will continue to be exciting in both the big and small moments!

Airport - JAX (Jacksonville)

The closest airport is Jacksonville International Airport (JAX). From here, you can rent a car, grab an Uber/Lyft, or schedule a ride through the Omni. It is about 40 minutes to the hotel from the airport and a beautiful drive. Stop at Sand Dollar along the way for the best Mayport Shrimp!

Visit Cumberland Island and see the wild horses! There are ferries that can take you here.

There are several golf courses on Amelia Island and surrounding areas, including a par 3 course walking distance from the Omni called Little Sandy. Grab a tee time!

A few of our favorite restaurants: Within a 5 minute drive of the Omni:- Marché Burette: Savannah's favorite place for pastries and coffee. They have a great breakfast and lunch menu. - Lagniappe: Everett's favorite dish on the island is their blackened redfish topped with fried oysters. - Pogo's: Great food with local ingredients.- Bar Zin: Wine bistro with great good. Downtown Fernandina (~15-20 minute drive):- T-Ray's Burger Station: A favorite of ours for fried shrimp and burgers. - Timoti's Seafood Shak: Casual seafood spot with an outdoor patio. - Mezcal: Great Mexican food and margaritas.- España: Delicious tapas.
