8th Grade - Zach and Savannah's story began in their small hometown of Plymouth. Zach, the new kid in town, caught the eye of Savannah, who had lived there her whole life. Although they weren't the closest of friends back then, Savannah secretly harbored a crush on Zach. In a playful twist of fate, she entered her phone number in his phone as "Sav Hates You <3". I think they both knew she didn’t ;)

Senior Year of High School - It wasn't until their senior year of high school that they officially started dating, a significant turning point in their relationship. Their first date was at her cousin’s wedding the week after Savannah had returned in an 8 week trip to Spain.

High School Graduation - They would spend Friday nights at football games, saw Twenty One Pilots for the first time together and cheered each other on during sporting events.

Freshman Year College - Savannah pursued her dual degree in Human Biology and Spanish. While Zachary continued down the pre-med path in the Honors school at IU. They continued to grow during their first year of college, but ultimately decided time apart was the best for the both of them.

Senior Year at IU - The true magic of this love story began to unfold during their senior year of college. Reconnecting in the best college town in the country, Bloomington, their love blossomed over countless Fridays spent at Kilroy's, shared library dates, and many many games of sink the biz.

1st year of medical school - Staying in Bloomington for two years while Zach pursued medical school laid the foundation of their enduring bond. We added Charlie to our family and met some of our life long friends!

1st year in Indianapolis - Eventually, they embarked on a new chapter, moving to Indianapolis for the last two years of Zach’s medical school. We decided Charlie was lonely and needed a brother. We added our spunky and cuddly Berkeley to our family.

Proposal - The Roadtrip - In April 2021, Zach and Savannah planned a road trip out to NJ to visit her college roommate for the first time. The trip consisted spending a few relaxing days at the shore with the Ludwig family and then spend a few days exploring NYC.

Proposal - NYC Day 1 - Day 1 in the big city consisted of sharing a lobster roll and oysters at the iconic Grand Banks. They shopped until they dropped in SOHO. Then the group ended the night at a their first (and certainly not last) Yankee’s game.

Proposal - NYC Day 2 - Day 2 of the NYC trip consisted of waking up and taking a stroll through Central park. The group then decided to take the train into Brooklyn. Savannah decided on a whim to get her ears pierced and the group spent the afternoon at Brooklyn Brewery. The group changed in the brewery’s bathroom and headed out to DUMBO for pictures before dinner.

THE BEST DAY EVER!!! Savannah had planned a dinner at an Italian restaurant in Little Italy, but as the trip had progressed, she began to doubt whether Zach would actually propose. After all, there had been numerous photogenic spots throughout their trip where he could have popped the question, yet he hadn't. Unbeknownst to her, Zach and her best friend Cheyanne had been keeping a secret. They had arranged for a photographer to be near Jane's Carousel, ensuring that this scenic spot would become the backdrop for a surprise proposal.

Engagement Party + Graduation - We found out in March of 2022 that we’d be moving to upstate NY for Zach’s residency. We decided then we wanted to celebrate his graduation, our engagement and us moving! This day and night was truly magical. We were surrounded by the best of family and friends and we truly couldn’t have felt more loved. We can’t wait to bring all of them back together for the wedding!

Moving to NY - In June of 2022, Zach and Savannah moved to Albany, NY. It was a huge adjustment but ultimately during this time we have learned how to be independent and support each other through a grueling schedule, Savannah’s new job and a move across the country.

Wedding Date!! We’d put it off long enough and are so excited to officially become “The Lee Family” on September 9th, 2024. We love you all and cannot wait to celebrate in our favorite place in the world!
