Back in 2022, Eric took a solo trip to NYC to watch the Islanders, Knicks, and Nets play. Meanwhile, Savannah was swiping through dating apps when she came across Eric’s profile. One of his prompts read, You shouldn’t go out with me if you don’t like sports. Savannah’s response? Four-year college basketball player, three-year captain. That was enough for Eric to swipe right! As they started talking, Eric offered a choice: Knicks or Nets tickets? Naturally, as a true New Yorker, Savannah picked Madison Square Garden. Their first date was at a Knicks game, and from there, things took off. Eric flew back to NYC four more times, and Savannah, working remotely, was able to travel back and forth for nearly two years—until finally making the move official in June 2024. And the rest is history!
