FAQs

What's next?

Formal invitations will be mailed in November with a December 10th, 2024 RSVP deadline. Please respond to our online RSVP as soon as you can!

Will transportation and lodging be provided?

Since most of the bride and groom's family and friends live convenient to the central Virginia area, transportation and lodging will not be provided. Thank you for understanding!

Is parking available at the venue?

Yes, ample parking is available. We want everyone to have a fun and safe night so overnight parking is permitted. However, the venue requests all vehicles be removed by 10:30am, Sunday morning. Note: If you will be using a ride share service such as Uber, be sure to pre-reserve pick up at the end of the evening. Ride share services are not quickly accessible or guaranteed due to the venue being in a rural location!

Will the ceremony and reception be held indoors or outdoors?

Both the ceremony and reception will be hosted inside. Due to the colder weather forecasted, our cocktail hour will be moved inside (outside optional).

When should I arrive?

Please arrive 15-30 minutes early for a prompt ceremony start time of 3:30pm. If you arrive late, we kindly ask that you do not enter the Chapel until after the ceremony is over, and cocktail hour begins.

Can I bring a guest?

Our goal is to keep our special day as intimate as possible, so invitations will be limited to only those included on the formal invite (see party list when RSVPing on website).

Can I bring my children?

Although we love your children, we will not be able to accommodate them on our wedding day. Thank you for understanding!

Is there a dress code?

We’d love to see our family and friends dressed up with us! We are requesting semi-formal dress code. For gentlemen, a dress shirt paired with a blazer/sports coat/jacket and slacks or khakis are recommended. Feel free to dress up with a tie! For ladies, formal or cocktail dresses are ideal.

Can we use our phones during the ceremony?

Pictures and videos are highly encouraged during the reception, but we kindly ask that you leave them in your vehicle during our ceremony. Don’t worry, our wonderful photographer Mike will be capturing all of our special moments!

What type of food will be served at the wedding?

Hors d'oeuvres will be served at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner of seasonal, comfort food.

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

Yes, please indicate in your RSVP and we will be happy to accommodate.

Will there be an open bar?

Of course!

What should I do if I can’t make it?

You will be missed! If you are unable to make it, please make sure to indicate in our online RSVP so we can plan accordingly. Please do this before December 10th, when RSVPs are due.

Who can I contact to ask more questions, not already included on this website?

Feel free to contact either the bride or groom. We can't wait to celebrate with you soon!
