In 2014, our youth group went to a summer camp called TVR. This was my first year going and I was so excited. On the bus ride there, a funny picture of me was taken and sent around in our group chat. After I found out Mitchell was at the source of this picture I begged and begged him to delete it and so our friendship began.

From 2014-2017 Mitchell and I hung out with each other every Sunday at youth group, most weekends at our friend Melody's house, and then everyday once high school started. I could safely say he was the funniest person I knew and my best guy friend that I could tell anything to and he would give me an honest response.

At the beginning of 2018 we both didn't have prom dates so decided to go as friends. Within the months leading up to prom, something shifted and I could tell we both felt it. We were apprehensive, not wanting to ruin our friendship but knew we couldn't change the way we felt. The prom we were supposed to go to as "just friends" ended up with us leaving knowing we definitely had feelings for each other.

A month after prom in April 2018, Mitchell asked me to be his girlfriend. By about June 2018 I knew I loved him and had a feeling I always would. After 4 years of long(ish) distance, and almost 6 years together, I'm more excited than ever to get to spend forever with Mitchell McHam.
