If you had told either of us that a simple swipe on a dating app would lead to a lifetime together, we probably would’ve laughed. But that’s exactly how our story began.
We matched while Savannah was in college in Florida and Kyle was living all the way out in Colorado. The timing wasn’t exactly convenient. Savannah was preparing to spend a semester in Italy, and we were separated by time zones, states, and oceans. But somehow, from the very beginning, the distance didn’t feel like a barrier. It felt like a challenge we were both willing to take on.
For a full year, we built our relationship through long-distance calls, late‑night conversations, and plane tickets squeezed into busy schedules. When Savannah graduated, life took us on different paths for a while, but love has a way of circling back at the right moment.
Nine months after graduation, Savannah packed up her life in Florida and moved to Colorado. That year together in Colorado was the first time we truly got to share everyday life together with grocery runs, snowy mornings, spontaneous adventures, and all the little things we had waited so long to experience side by side. After that, we decided it was time for a new chapter and moved to Florida together, where we’ve been building our home for the past six months.
Then came Christmas Day. Kyle got down on one knee, Savannah said yes and suddenly everything we had dreamed about during those long-distance years became real. Now we’re counting down to June 1st—our wedding day—and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate the beginning of our forever.
Our story has crossed states, countries, and has survived many changes. Through it all, we’ve chosen each other. We can’t wait to start this next chapter surrounded by the people we love.
