Preacher’s Rock (Dahlonega)

Preacher’s Rock remains one of our favorite hiking spots! From the start, the magic of the North Georgia air flutters about, weaving through the twisting trees and the chattering river. This short two-mile hike creates a steady incline until roughly ¾ in when you find yourself face to face with large boulders and God-made steppingstones. It’s truly the perfect hike for beginners or anyone who just desires a breathtaking view!

Downtown Dahlonega

I must admit, being from Savannah, Georgia I use this term “downtown” rather loosely when it comes to Dahlonega. None the less it is about the cutest little square you’ll ever lay eyes on! You can find anything from antique shops filled with trinkets of the past to dining from all around the world!

This cheerful German town proves to be a tourist favorite! Helen offers shopping, dining, and outdoor adventures including one of our favorite hiking spots, Yonah Mountain (intermediate). It also happens to be the site of our first date;)
