In late August 2023 Saxony was messaged by a co-worker/ classmate/ friend inviting her to join her and another friend on a trip to Lagoon (a local amusement park for the uninitiated). Similarly, Chris was also invited by these friends to join us all at Lagoon.

The day came around, we all ventured to the park and spent the next several hours hanging out and going on rides as the four of us.

Towards the end of the day it became more and more apparent that Chris had been flirting with Saxony for the majority of the trip. And the rest is history.

You've heard how we met but how did we become the couple you all know and love?

The Monday after our Lagoon trip Saxony could not stop thinking about Chris and his flirting. Eventually she was convinced to just text him. Just to say hello and see what happens. Well, four days later Saxony asked Chris on a date and two days after that we spent hours together on our first date. Eating pasta, talking about fish, and learning how to flip coins.

We were smitten. Our relationship fast tracked from there. With only two weeks between our first meeting and the day we made it official.

Fast forward nine months and we made the big jump and moved in with each other (and with Chris' cat Canoe). Since then we've gone on trips, met families, rode more rollercoasters, adopted a kitten (named Egg Drop Soup aka Soup), and fell more and more in love.

November 2025. We were hanging out in our room when Chris asked Saxony on a date. A few days later we put on our best clothes and made a trip to Tucanos after which we went on a short walk around our favorite park. As we walked in the dark we came across a small light in the distance. Closing in we saw a small picnic blanket, a light and a bouquet. It is here where Chris got on one knee and asked Saxony to marry him.

December 2025. We both knew that Saxony wanted to counter propose to Chris. After he proposed it was only a matter of time before he also had a new ring on his finger. So, Saxony started scheming.

As is tradition when two people get engaged, we booked our engagement photos for early December. We planned the outfits, picked our photographer, made the mood boards. The day came, we arrived at the location and started taking photos. After our first outfits we went inside and Saxony's plan started unfolding. Chris was sent upstairs to get something- anything. And as he walked back down into the basement Saxony was there on one knee.
