<p>In July of 2007, Sayquan and Rafia met at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where they were active members in their youth groups. Through the friendship of Tracy Davis and Zaina Brewster, Sayquan and Rafia instantly became family. Sayquan was Rafia's funny big brother and Rafia was Sayquan's annoying little sister with a good heart. Through this type of friendship, it grew into an inseparable bond with the family and as Sayquan became Rafia's protector, Rafia became someone that Sayquan could trust. This dynamic grew and blossomed into a beautiful love story that started in August of 2014, where their platonic relationship grew into love, and because of the years of friendship, their relationship has a strong foundation filled with love, respect, trust, and communication. They did not have a perfect love, but the obstacles along the way have made them stronger and closer to God. They have faced many trials, but through prayer and hard work they have been able to withstand and become a stronger unit that's ready for marriage. In February of 2021, Sayquan got down on one knee, and proposed to Rafia. From that day, they have decided to become one, forever.</p>
