Q + A

Where is this thing? Asia?

Yes, our wedding will be held at South Palms Resort Panglao, Philippines (Brgy, Panglao, 6340 Bohol, Philippines)

And it's during the week of Thanksgiving?

Yes, it's a great time to travel internationally. Flights are cheaper, the weather in the Philippines is beautiful, and most people have a few days off from work to help maximize vacation days. If you're dead-set on celebrating the pilgrims with the family back home, we understand, and it is still possible to return home in time for Thanksgiving Dinner if you leave on Wednesday the 22nd. But we hope you'll try something different this year.

How do I get there?

Swim. Just kidding. You fly to Manila of course! The International Airports is Ninoy Aquino International Airport - NAIA (code: MNL). From there you will need to connect via a short flight to the island of Bohol. The airport there is Panglao Bohol International Airport (code: TAG). We will send detailed flight recommendations and instructions for transferring from your inbound Manila flight to your Bohol flight. Depending on your Bohol flight, you may have to take a short taxi ride to another airport terminal. Either way, you have to enter the Philippines through immigration at MNL before you can proceed to your Bohol flight.

Do I need a passport?

Yes...with at least 6 months left before expiration. Don't wait to renew.

What about immigration requirements to enter the Philippines?

As of this time there are none for U.S. passport holders. No Visa required.

Are there activities planned?

Yes, please see RSVP Form for list of scheduled activities. You can also look at the "Things to Do" page for restaurants recommendations and other excursions you can schedule on your own.

What's the food like?

Google Filipino food. It's good. Heavy on the pork, chicken, and rice. Not spicy.

Can I drink that Water?

Stick to bottled. The resort will provide plenty of filtered water for you. Ice in reputable establishments can generally be trusted but use your judgement. When in doubt, order a bottle of beer. San Miguel is popular.

What's the dress code?

We're calling it Resort Formal. Men should plan to wear dressier shorts or pants with a polo or collared shirts. Optional breathable sport coat or blazer. Women should plan to wear summery dresses, skirts, or pants with a nice top Both men and women should opt for dressier shoes, though dress sandals can be appropriate. Avoid flip flops, the Bride has an issue with them. Prioritize breathable fabrics. It's the beach.
