Our Wedding

Scott met Isabel when he was 21 and she was 19 years old. They were both attending Texas Tech University and only lived 7 townhomes away from eachother. Although they went to the same elementary, middle, and high school, they didn't meet until they matched on Bumble in college. After matching, there was an immediate connection once realizing how many shared experiences they had throughout their lives. Scott and Isabel's first time meeting was when Scott picked Isabel up for their first date at The Cheesecake Factory. Shortly after their first date, the pandemic started and they were both sent home from school. They weren't sure when they would see each other next due to all of the unknowns at the time. However, Scott continued to pursue Isabel while realizing their childhood homes were only 10 minutes apart from each other. Scott and Isabel's third and fourth dates were at each other's parents homes. Getting to know each other in a family setting, only increased the love they had for each other. Scott asked Isabel to be his girlfriend in his parent's backyard on March 24th, 2020. Ever since March 24th, 2020, they have been inseperable. They enjoyed the pandemic (as much as one could) and one year of college together prior to Scott graduating and moving back to Austin while Isabel finished her Senior year. After Isabel graduated, they moved into their first apartment together in Austin, Texas. After a year of living and working together, Scott and Isabel bought a home in South Austin in hopes of continuing their lives together. Very soon after moving in, they took a trip to one of their favorite places outside of Austin, Fredricksburg. This is where Scott and Isabel got engaged on March 22, 2024, after almost exactly 4-years of dating.

Isabel grew a close friendship with Tay after her and Garrett met. Tay is now also the mother of Scott and Isabel's God-Daughter, Birdie Lee Shadwick.

Scott met Garrett when they were living in the same dorm their Freshman year of college. Garrett is now also the father of Scott and Isabel's God-Daughter, Birdie Lee Shadwick.

Isabel and Sophia met Freshman year of high school and have been significant in each other's lives ever since.

Scott and Devin became close friends and lived together throughout the last three years of college.

Isabel and Virginia became each other's partner in crime during their Freshman year of college. Their strong sisterhood is attributed to them living together their last two years of attending Texas Tech.

What time should I arrive?

We are requesting all guests arrive during the prelude, which will start at 5:00pm. Following the prelude, our ceremony will start promptly at 5:30pm.

Is the venue indoor or outdoor?

The venue is indoor and outdoor!As long as weather permits, the ceremony will be outside. The cocktail hour and reception will both be indoors.

What will the weather be like?

The weather can be pretty unpredictable in the springtime near Austin. However, we anticipate it will be around 65-70 degrees and nice outside!If the weather does not allow us to hold the ceremony outside, it will held in the greenhouse.

Is there a dress code?

We would love to see our family and friends dressed up with us! We are requesting a formal dress code for the evening.

Can I take pictures throughout the ceremony?

To ensure everyone is present with us, we will be having an "unplugged" ceremony. We request all phones be silent and put away throughout the ceremony.Our photographer will be capturing the moment and we are happy to share the images with you following the wedding. You're also more than welcome to use your phone and take photos following the ceremony!

What should I do if I can't make it?

You will be missed! However, we understand if you are unable to attend and kindly request you RSVP as "no" as soon as possible, so we can plan accordingly.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Due to limited capacity we are only able to accomodate those formally invited. If you received a plus-one it will be addressed on your invitation and available when you RSVP.

Are children invited?

Although we love all of your children, we respectfully request they not be in attendance due to capacity limitations. If your child is invited, they will be formally addressed when RSVPing.We hope you understand and take this as an opportunity to enjoy a fun date night!

We have reserved additional rooms at the Holiday Inn for our out of town guests. This hotel is also about 50-minutes from the Wedding venue. However, it's more central to our other wedding activities as well.
