WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Guests are allowed to start arriving at 4:00pm. The ceremony will start at 4:30pm. There will be a cocktail hour and reception following the ceremony until 11:00pm. (The reception includes dinner and the dance)
WILL THE WEDDING BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?
The ceremony and reception are located at the same place. Everything will be outdoors. Dancing and dinner will be located under the main reception tent at the venue. The ceremony will be under the Lath House at the venue starting at 4:30pm.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Our wedding venue is all outdoors during the first week of September, so keep the weather in mind when deciding what to wear. We are asking our guests to dress semi-formal for our big day!
AM I ALLOWED TO BRING A PLUS ONE?
We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is Invite/RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation/RSVP page. Thank you for respecting our decision!
ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?
Although we love your little ones, this is an adults only affair. Due to budget and space limitations we are unable to extend the invitation to children under 16. Again, our wedding is invitation only. Therefore, we only have room for the guests listed on your invitation/RSVP page. We hope you understand and enjoy your night off!
Can I leave my vehicle at the venue overnight?
Unfortunately, our venue does NOT allow our guests to leave their vehicle at the venue overnight. Please make sure you coordinate a sober driver to drive your car home, or utilize the shuttle rides provided to and from the AmericInn in Northfield. Shuttle times are listed on the Travel tab of this website.
WHAT TYPE OF FOOD WILL BE SERVED AT YOUR WEDDING?
We are catering from Big Bore BBQ. The meal will be buffet style and consist of pulled chicken, pulled pork, mac & cheese, baked beans, caesar salad, and mini buns to make sandwiches. If you have any food restrictions/allergies please email Makayla at vnukwedding24@gmail.com.
WILL THERE BE AN OPEN BAR?
Yes! We want to show our appreciation to our guests for contributing to our stock the bar party and offer an open bar. The bar will begin service at the start of cocktail hour until last call at 10:30pm. NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL IS PERMITTED ON THE PREMISES! If the Gardens of Castle Rock staff find guests with outside alcohol, the bride and groom will be forced to give up their damage deposit and the event will be ended early.
CAN I TAKE PHOTOS DURING THE CEREMONY?
Our ceremony will be unplugged, we ask that all phones, cameras, and other devices be put away until the ceremony is over. We have hired a photographer and videographer to capture the moment for us. Thank You.
WILL TRANSPORTATION BE PROVIDED TO/FROM THE HOTEL?
We were unable to reserve a block of rooms due to the Jesse James city days happening in Northfield during our wedding weekend. However, there will be a shuttle service after the reception from the venue to the AmericInn by Wyndham in Northfield. Rooms are booking fast due to the Jesse James city days so book your room ASAP if you want to utilize the shuttle service. Shuttle departure times are listed under the "Travel" tab of this website.
Northfield also offers a $10.00 one-way shuttle service for anywhere within city limits through FIRST CHOICE SHUTTLE.
