On June 18th, 2022 at the Matron of Honor’s, Leah Pifer, wedding. Scottie was included as a bridesmaid and Douglas was invited to honor Leah’s late brother, Seth Underwood. Douglas showed up, put on one of Seth’s ties, and the first thing he heard from across the room was Scottie yelling, “Looking sharp, Doug!” After that, the pair was inseparable. They danced, laughed, and talked all night. However, once the wedding was over, Douglas went home discouraged. You see, he had just moved to Charleston, SC and was upset that he met his dream girl in West Virginia…and she still lived in West Virginia. When he spoke to his father about the dilemma and for some advice, he had a simple response. “Talk to her. See what happens.” So that is what Douglas did. The pair has not stopped talking since…
