Scotty and Mackenzie first saw each other at a high school graduation party the summer of 2020. Mackenzie's attention was caught by watching Scotty climb trees with his two brothers, while Scotty's attention was grabbed with Mackenzie's cornhole skills. But they never spoke to each other that evening. Thanks to the help of Mackenzie's older sister, but ultimately God's perfect plan, a message was sent through Instagram that initiated a conversation that would end up carrying on for 5+ years.

Their first date was spent illegally fishing at a pond where Mackenzie not only fell in but caught the biggest bass either of them have seen to this day. Since then, countless evenings have been spent dining at Mi Rancho and grabbing a scoop at Smiley's Ice Cream.

Throughout the years each of them has grown to love the Lord more causing them to love each other more like Christ every day. While the past few years have brought challenges between Mackenzie being at Virginia Tech and Scotty working endlessly on the family farm, they both continue to find ways to prioritize their relationship with each other and God. Through these experiences they both have been blessed with the Lord's grace and strength, causing them to be ready to take this next step in their faith and come together as one flesh.

Scotty and Mackenzie are excited to end the trips up and down I-81 and build their life founded in Christ together and bring more glory to our Father in heaven. It would mean so much to them if you would join them on this joyful day!
