Yes! We will have dinner and drinks served at the reception, followed by desert and dancing!
Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.
Are kids welcome?
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be invite only (this includes children.) If the name of your child is not specifically on the invitation, they unfortunately are not invited due to costs. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?
Thank you in advance for sending your RSVP before September 1, 2024. You can simply RSVP right here on our wedding website.

After the wedding ceremony, we will be serving light passed hors d’oeuvres accompanied by an open bar. We invite you to toast to our nuptials with a curated selection of wine, beer and our signature cocktails.

Yes! Please comment on your RSVP if you have a special diet, and we will pass the information on to our chef.
Will transportation be provided between the to and from the hotel, ceremony and reception?
As of now, we have not booked a bus or shuttle from Defiance Ridge back into town or to a local hotel. Please plan on driving yourself or arranging a carpool prior to the wedding day. If plans change, we will update this Q&A, so check back at a later date.
Do you have any recommendations for where to eat, points of interest or things to do?
Yes! We recommend visiting the ‘Things to Do’ page of our wedding website, where we’ve compiled all of our favorite local hot spots and fun things to do in the area, including coffee shops, shopping and restaurants to visit before or after the wedding.
What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
The dress code for our wedding is formal attire. Think dressy separates and dresses that hit above the ankle are acceptable, as well as fitted, darker-hued suits.
What will the weather be like this time of year?
The weather this time of year averages at about 70 degrees during the day, and 50s at night. However, this is the St. Louis and you never know what we will get! Please make sure to bring a bring a jacket or warm layers and have an umbrella in the car in case it is needed.
Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?
The ceremony and reception will both be taking place at Defiance Ridge Vineyards. The address is 2711 South Highway 94 St. Charles, MO 63341.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
We have the luxery to host any and all events inside or outside. This includes the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Weather depending, all events may be outside, inside, or a mix of both. Outside has multiple paved sidewalks and patios, however we do recommend wearing comfortable shoes as the parking lot is gravel.
What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception hall, where we will be serving finger foods and beverages during a cocktail hour.
Am I invited to the rehearsal dinner?
Due to the space limitations of our venue, we unfortunately have to limit the rehearsal dinner guest list to those who will be playing a role in the ceremony. We apologize in advance to those who are not included.
What time should I arrive?
Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you
arrive no later than 5:00pm to make sure everyone is seated in time for our 5:30pm ceremony.
Where should guests park? Is parking free?
Parking is directly on the property and is free. Please note that the parking lot is graveled, so please wear comfortable shoes.
Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?
Yes! There is a wheelchair ramp leading from the indoor area to the outdoor area. Everything else is on one level. The outdoor area is paved for easy wheelchair access. Please note that the parking lot is gravel, so we recommend dropping your loved one off at the door prior to parking.
