Q + A

What should we wear?

Semi-Formal Attire is requested. This means dresses, dress pants and dress shirts. Ties and Suit Coats Optional. Please no Jeans and we ask that ladies stay away from shades of white. If the weather is above 60 degrees and it is not raining, the dance will be outside. Please bring a sweater if you feel you will be cold outside.

Are Kids Invited?

Our wedding will be an Adult Only event. Given venue capacity we are not able to accommodate the kids of every family. Exceptions were made only for those in the wedding party.

Can I bring a Plus-One?

Only those who are listed on the formal invitation are invited to come given venue capacity and formal seating arrangements. Those with Plus-Ones will be explicitly stated on the invite as having a guest. If there is any question about who is invited, feel free to ask! We are happy to clarify any confusion.

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

When guests RSVP there will be an option to include any dietary restrictions or allergies. You may also let us know directly. We will work with our caterer to make sure that everyone is accommodated!

Will there be an Open Bar?

While we will be supplying some alcohol, the bar will transition to a cash bar at some point. Please bring cash or a card if you would like to continue drinking past that point. No outside beverages allowed per venue policy. This includes no drinking beverages at vehicles.

What is the parking situation?

There is a field at the venue for parking vehicles and guests are welcome to leave their vehicles overnight until 9am the next day. There are also spots closer to the building that we ask be reserved for those with a handicap pass or mobility issues. Since there is some distance between the ceremony and reception we encourage those coming from similar locations to carpool with one another! Uber and Lyft will pick up from the reception location.

When do I need to RSVP by?

RSVPs are due by May 1st, 2025. Given formal seating arrangements and venue capacity if you have not RSVP'd by this date we will mark you as a no and you will be missed. Please RSVP via the RSVP page on our website. Please let us know via the RSVP page or via text even if you are unable to make it. If you mark "attending" but this changes before the wedding and you are no longer able to make it please also let us know ASAP. If you are having difficulties you may also send a text to Lanae at 320-468-2809 and I will make a note of your reply.

Can I take pictures?

Our ceremony will be "unplugged" and we ask that you turn your phone completely off during the mass to both keep the sanctity of the mass and keep arms out of our ceremony photos. We have a wonderful photographer who will be taking photos during the ceremony and we will share these with all after the wedding. After the ceremony you are welcome to take any photos you please! Rolling Ridge is a wonderful venue with lots of beautiful landscaping and is a perfect place to take a nice family or group photos.

When should I arrive at the Ceremony?

Please arrive to the Church by 1:10pm, as the ceremony will be starting promptly at 1:30pm.

When should I arrive at the reception?

Cocktail hour will begin at Rolling Ridge at 4pm, and the meal will begin at 5:00pm. If you need to kill time between the ceremony and reception there is a Bar in Buckman (the Buckman Bank) and other bars and shops to explore in downtown St. Joseph. Please keep in mind that there is about 40 minutes in between the ceremony and reception locations. We also remind all to drink responsibly and have a designated driver.

I'm not Catholic, can I come to the Ceremony?

Yes! We encourage everyone to come to the ceremony (mass), no matter what their faith is. We will have a program so that all are able to follow along.

I have more questions-who should I contact?
