Kate and I met through mutual friends back in February of 2020, which was far and away the biggest story of that year. After a successful first date the week prior to St. Patrick’s Day, we both agreed to meetup again that next weekend, which ended up being the last time we would go out together until June. Turns out the whole COVID thing had other plans, and the two of us dated in “reverse” to start our relationship. I proposed to Kate in April of 2023 at Williams Park in Dallas. She said yes, but I think she was just being polite! We celebrated with family that night and enjoyed the best day of our lives. We are so lucky to have so many great friends and family to share our special day with. It really is overwhelming in the best way to know that we have so many people in our corner. We can’t wait to celebrate with you all! Pack your dancing shoes and show up hungry and thirsty! Can’t wait to see you all soon. Love, Sean and Kate

This is Kate and I's favorite brewery in the City. Located in Deep Ellum, this is a great place to relax and enjoy a few craft beers. Sean Says: Try the Deep Ellum IPA or the Neato Bandito Mexican Lager

KT Ice House is the most popular bar/restaurant in Dallas and located within walking distance of the Stoneleigh. Hop on the Katy Trail and walk south until you can see the massive courtyard/patio area. Good place to walk to grab a drink during the day. Sean Says: It can get extremely busy in the afternoon. I'd recommend going during "off" times like during early lunchtime or right before dinner to skip the crowd.

Las Palmas may be the "best" Tex Mex in Uptown but the restaurant usually books up a week in advance. Need plans? Make a reservation the week prior and be sure to get the Steak with Bone Marrow Butter (trust us).

”Mi Co” as the locals would say, is a Dallas staple, with Kate and I’s favorite location residing in Highland Park, home to a variety of designer shops and stores. There is also a location in Uptown on McKinney that is much closer. Sean Says: Get a “Mambo Taxi”, which is a sangria/margarita frozen swirl, alongside the brisket tacos. Thank me later.

Happiest Hour may have one of the coolest patios in the City. Located right in the middle of Uptown, head to Happiest Hour as it gets dark for amazing skyline views and drinks. Sean Says: The later you go, the more likely Happiest Hour is likely to turn into more of a “club” vibe. Head there in the early evening to take advantage of the sweet view before the patio is overrun with post-grads.

HG is right across the street from Truckyard up on Lower Greenville. HG’s patio has an amazing rooftop view of the City. Eat dinner there or just snag a drink. Sean Says: The Build a Bowl is one of Kate’s favorite meals in the entire City. Try the Burger Bowl! Also, we had our first date on the rooftop patio, so I may be biased, but it’s a special spot!
