135 Days To Go!

It all started with just two people...

On a night many years ago, at a Sullivan’s Steakhouse in downtown Denver. A boy met the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. She a server- prepping for her new role, he a line cook- prepping for busy night, but mostly preparing to keep from royally embarrassing himself. Needless to say he was wildly unsuccessful.

For some strange reason he thought that attempting to land the worst joke of all time was the clear path to triumph. Whilst showcasing the fine selection of carnivorous options for the beautiful server, the young lad delighted, “How is the lamb here?” Without offering much time for reply he tried to land the joke, “It’s BBAAAAAADDDD!” And for some strange reason this did not totally deter the young vixen.

We have been on a wild and incredible journey ever since that fateful day, a day we are forever grateful occurred. This single day of celebration has been many, many years in the making (some might add a few many, many, many’s to this). This journey has seen us both grow together, find a deeper meaning to life through each other, and discover our path together is the path desired. We have found a deep connection in love and laughter, which has helped move us forward through the good and the bad.

We have journeyed across the world, not in search of love but in the understanding that true love is spending time with the one that matters most. We moved to Austin, TX to pursue a first career, we moved back to pursue a life closer to family- and to continue down the road less traveled. We have seen the bioluminescence glowing while kayaking in Puerto Rico, visited the numerous temples of Bali, hiked the Oregon coast, listened to jazz in New Orleans (while creating our own crazy straws), ziplined through the canopies of Costa Rica, found ourselves lost biking through the countryside of Germany (Ashley, unsurprisingly, got us found), visited a goat in a bar in Tubac, and simply for our first getaway- drove to Steamboat (where the original ring pop occurred).

We have leaned on many to assist us with navigating the constant change of the trade winds, and we will be forever grateful for all who have encouraged our pursuits. We are honored to have so many people who have supported our journey- and are thankful we have gotten to share the road and have voyaged together throughout this wild ride. We hope that everyone can find and celebrate LOVE! It is truly a rare gift and must be cherished once found. Thank you for taking a moment to celebrate this with us.

We have truly found that life is not about the destination, but the time spent with each other trying to find another road to walk.
