We’d love to tell you! In short, a Launch Party, as we’ve dubbed it, is a pre-wedding celebration and send-off for the soon-to-be-wed couple for all of our dear friends here in KC. Think Couple’s Shower meets wedding reception.

Lots of reasons. Since the engagement is short and our families live all over the world, we opted for a small, out-of-state wedding ceremony in a somewhat equalizing location in an attempt to make travel slightly better for immediate and extended family who will be attending – and to keep within the realm of what we can afford financially. That meant we needed to find another time to celebrate with our cherished friends and communities in KC, which for many scheduling reasons, wasn't going to be possible post-wedding if we were to attempt to put on a more traditional reception once we got home (There are many reasons that wasn't possible/practical but we’ll spare you the ramble, haha) When the idea of a “Launch Party” came up, we were super excited to go all in and make it happen!

We will be celebrating at ASE Coffee & Cocktails in Grandview, MO. The plan is to play some games together, talk and tell stories, then take some time to encourage the couple and pray over Sean and Ella to launch them into their new life together! Coffees and snacks will be provided.
