Wedding Day

We will be in Canmore from August 6th to August 12th, 2024, with activities planned for those that wish to come out a few days earlier.- August 6th &amp; 7th: Hiking, Canmore restaurants, etc.-August 8th: Joint Hen-do/ Stag-do night out in Banff- August 9th: Evening get-together for all guests (location TBD)- August 10th: The Big Day!

Due to the capacity constraints of our venue, our guest list is limited to immediate family and close friends. As such, we are having an adults-only wedding, and we ask that only those named on our Save The Dates and Invitations RSVP - thank you!

For international guests, you will want to fly to Calgary International Airport. Car rentals or. a Canmore Shuttle Buss are available at the airport. Book a Shuttle Bus - https://www.busbud.com/en-ca We recommend some of the below hotels in Canmore, however there are a ton of other hotels and Airbnbs. Any hotel will be within a 5 minute taxi/uber of the venue. Public transit within Canmore is also completely free!

A long time ago, in an Alberta far far away... The year was 2015... Jesslyn had completed her studies at the University of Lethbridge and had moved to Calgary to begin her career in accounting. Sean had also attended the University of Lethbridge, but somehow they had never met despite being in many of the same accounting classes together! Sean had also moved back to Calgary for a career in accounting. One day, a good friend to them both, Deanna, invited them out for a debaucherous night of steins and boots of beer at Wurst. Jess and Sean became good friends immediately! The years to follow, Jess and Sean would go on lots of hikes around Canmore and Banff (disclaimer: Jess likes hiking more than Sean). The two would take turns cooking for each other or visiting the many nice restaurants around Calgary (we miss Avec so much), returning to Wurst for Game of Thrones night, and of course sharing in the excitement that was studying for their accounting designations and a life in accounting (Common dinner night conversations between the two accountants: "Should we use an excel spreadsheet for this?", "I audited the coolest company today.", &amp; "What's your favourite number?!"). As the years went on, Jess and Sean's friendship blossomed into a relationship that would one day see Jess forever putting up with Sean icing her at inopportune moments. However, early on into their relation, a curve ball was thrown at them in the form a London job offer for Sean. After some consideration, the two of them could not turn down the once-in-a-lifetime adventure opportunity! Jess packed her 40 high quality spoons that she could not part with, she packed enough clothing to outfit a small shop, and she packed a few Canadian appliances that would never survive the electric sockets of the UK. Sean packed his beer stick (absolute essentials only), a 20lb cast iron pan, and only a single light sweater for the damp cold temperatures of London. Since moving to London, Jess and Sean have had the opportunity to travel to numerous cities around the UK (York being the best) and a plethora of countries: France, Germany, Spain, Croatia, Gibraltar, Greece, Italy, Norway, Switzerland, Netherlands, Mexico, Portugal, Romania, Morocco and of course back to Canada! The two found they were perfect travel partners, Jess being a master at planning the perfect itinerary and Sean to navigate the hectic European cities and finding the best restaurants and bars. Despite all the travels, another curveball was thrown at them in the form of a global pandemic. Would Jess survive being locked in a studio flat with Sean for months on end? Would Sean share the tv or simply play video games until Boris let them out? To no surprise, their relationship flourished and led them to their new home community in Wapping, London! The grandparents of them both commenting that if the two them could survive being locked up together for so many months, their relationship could survive anything! In September of 2022, family was visiting London and Sean had cooked up the perfect plan of taking Jess and the gang on a relaxing Thames boat ride. Much to everyone's surprise, Sean proposed to Jesslyn; and she said "Yes"! In the months since the engagement, Jess and Sean have continued to travel relentlessly, paying Gatwick airport rent. They have continued with their exciting accounting careers in London ("Today my excel check formulas all balanced!"). Jess supported Sean when he decided to publish a party game. Sean supported Jess when she ran her first half marathon! And of course, they began plotting the most memorable and festive wedding in Canmore with their family and friends!
