Sean and Karah met just like any other couple, in the middle of the worst pandemic that the world had seen in over 100 years. They connected online and began their relationship with several facetime messages, just to be sure both of them were not going to infect the other with what seemed at the time to be a deadly virus.

Eventually Sean built up the courage to asked Karah to dinner. The two had such a blast that they decided to stay out for a bit, walk around downtown and grab a drink before closing the night with a goodbye kiss.

In the months that followed, Karah and Sean went on numerous dates mostly involving the outdoors. They went on hikes, walks in the park, and even shared a two person kayak, which almost ended in both of them swimming in Lake Erie.

Sean planned several themed date nights at his apartment in their first year including a Hawaiian themed luau where they dressed up in grass skirts and watched 50 First Dates, and an Italian night where the two of them ate spaghetti in formal dinnerware and watched the Godfather.

Eventually they moved in together, learning about all of the fun habits of the other that they didn't get a chance to learn before. Karah learned that Sean mostly ate raw ingredients for his meals like vegetables, fruits, and steak, and Sean learned how to cook.

In October of 2023, Sean decided that he had had enough of this dating life and decided to "put a ring on it" to quote Beyoncé. He had his friends Mark and Lauren setup a surprise scene in the backyard at their house and his other friends Cameron and Chelsea ask them to dinner as an excuse to setup the elaborate ruse. When Sean and Karah walked back home from dinner he took her straight into the backyard and got down on one knee. The rest they say, is history.

Now both Sean and Karah are finishing the final preparations for their wedding and could not be happier. Both still find time to watch movies in ridiculous outfits, go on the occasional hike, and catch up with their friends.
