A beautiful State Park located about 30 minutes east of Falconer. It has numerous hiking and walking trails, picnic spots, and lake beachfront at Redhouse and Quaker. A wonderful place to be outside and enjoy God’s glorious creation!
If you like the beach, this is a nice local place visit, located about 35 minutes southwest of Falconer. Helen has done a lot of paddle boarding here, and we’ve gone swimming and walked on the beach. Beautiful spot that’s close to Westfield and Mayville, where you can find numerous local shops and restaurants, too!
Presque Isle State Park
Being that it’s an hour west of Falconer, it is a bit of drive, but well worth it. With gorgeous beaches and soft sand on one side, and light woods and calm lake on the other, this is a great place to go visit for a day. You can walk the beach and be in the water, or enjoy any of the paved walking trails or try out some of the short wooded trails! Helen and I had our one-month celebration here after we started dating. We packed a picnic lunch, and walked and talked on the beach for several hours, enjoying the sun, the breeze coming off the lake, and each other’s company. Highly recommended!
Jamestown is the main hub nearest us. With so many options for food, shopping, entertainment, and local parks and nature reserves, you’re bound to find something to really enjoy here!
