Our Story
Abbey and Sebastian’s story begins in the fall of 2016. The short version of the story they usually tell goes as following:
They met during move-in weekend at Robert Morris University. The first night after moving into the dorms, they both attended a freshman event where each of their friends happened to know one another, drawing them together. Sebastian tried talking to Abbey and got very little in return until one of Abbey’s friends expressed interest in one of Sebastian’s friends. The ball got rolling from there as Abbey and Sebastian hatched a plan to get their friends to fall in love. This resulted in a lot of time together scheming and planning, which meant spending hours upon hours with one another. They did as much scheming as one can do in a day, which resulted in a shift to discuss themselves. They soon began spending more time getting to know one another than they did calculating a love trap for their friends. The two friends quickly went in the opposite direction than Abbey and Sebastian hoped, going more for a “friends to enemies” trope rather than a “friends to lovers”. The story took a twist as Abbey and Sebastian realized the plot had shifted to them. The two of them spent so much time together that they ended up falling for each other. With sweet confessions of love, the story continues, which lands us here, 7 years later.
The long version of the story is way more complex, involving: stolen phone numbers, first birthday parties, trips to Erie and Dayton, wind tunnels behind Washington dorms, school dances, fire alarms, trips to Patrick’s Pub, vacations to Canada (in the heart of winter) and Florida, sea sickness, online school, adopting a dog and taking custody of another, and a proposal at a lavender farm that had no living lavender.
These past years have been filled with every emotion under the sun, but the one that always stands out in Abbey and Sebastian’s relationship is love. No matter the circumstances, the invisible string was always meant to tie the two together.

La historia de Abbey y Sebastian comienza en otoño de 2016. La versión corta de la historia es la siguiente:
Se conocieron durante el primera semana en la Universidad Robert Morris. La primera noche, ambos asistieron a un evento de estudiantes de primer año donde cada uno de sus amigos se conoció por casualidad, lo que los unió. Sebastian intentó hablar con Abbey y no obtuvo mucha respuesta, hasta que uno de los amigos de Abbey se interesó por uno de los amigos de Sebastian. A partir de ahí, Abbey y Sebastian urdieron un plan para que sus amigos se enamoraran. Pasaron mucho tiempo juntos maquinando y planeando, lo que significaba pasar horas y horas juntos. Hicieron tantas maquinaciones como se puede hacer en un día, lo que dio lugar a un cambio para hablar de ellos mismos. Pronto empezaron a pasar más tiempo conociéndose que calculando una trampa amorosa para sus amigos. Los dos amigos no tardaron en ir en la dirección contraria a la que Abbey y Sebastian esperaban, decantándose más por el tropo de "amigos a enemigos" que por el de "amigos a amantes". La historia dio un giro cuando Abbey y Sebastian se dieron cuenta de que la trama se había desplazado hacia ellos. Los dos pasaron tanto tiempo juntos que acabaron enamorándose el uno del otro. Con dulces confesiones de amor, la historia continúa, lo que nos sitúa aquí, 7 años después.
La versión larga de la historia es mucho más compleja e incluye: números de teléfono robados, fiestas de primer cumpleaños, viajes a Erie y Dayton, túneles de viento detrás de los dormitorios en la universidad, bailes escolares, alarmas de incendio, viajes al Patrick's Pub, vacaciones a Canadá (en pleno invierno) y Florida, mareos, escuela en línea, adopción de un perro y custodia de otro, y una propuesta de matrimonio en una granja de lavanda que no tenía lavanda viva.
Estos últimos años han estado llenos de todas las emociones bajo el sol, pero la que siempre destaca en la relación de Abbey y Sebastian es el amor. Independientemente de las circunstancias, el hilo invisible siempre estuvo destinado a unirlos.
