Pike Place is Seattle's greatest tourist attraction and offers small vendors, the best flowers, the famous fish throw, the renowned gum wall, and the first Starbucks location in the world. It is the oldest continuously operating farmers market in the country, and the world's 33rd most visited tourist attraction bringing over 10 million people a year to Seattle. It is free to attend and contains many great restaurants and attractions, and while parking is a nightmare, we highly recommend seeing it if you haven't before!
Leavenworth is a charming Bavarian-style village nestled in the Cascade Mountains, about two hours from Seattle. Known for its Alpine architecture, quaint shops, and delicious German food, it’s a great spot for a day trip. Visitors can enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and river rafting in the summer, or take in the festive holiday lights and snowy mountain scenery in the winter. Leavenworth offers a unique mix of European charm and Pacific Northwest beauty.
Taking the ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge Island offers a scenic escape from the city. Departing from Colman Dock, the ride provides stunning views of Seattle's skyline, the Olympic Mountains, and Mount Rainier. Passengers can relax indoors or enjoy the fresh air on deck. As you approach Bainbridge, the island’s wooded landscape comes into view. Once docked, the charming town of Winslow is just a short walk away, perfect for exploring local shops and cafés. About a 45 minute drive out of Seattle Snoqualmie Falls is a beautiful drive into a more rural area of Washington.
