GETTING TO ALBISOLA/CELLE BY PLANE:
The closest airport to Albisola/Celle Ligure is Genoa. Genoa has direct flights to London and Amsterdam. Other near by airports are Nice in France. Aerlingus and Ryanair have direct flights from Dublin to Nice. The airport in Milan is a little further away.
GETTING TO ALBISOLA/CELLE BY TRAIN:
From the airport you can take a bus (i24) to the “Genova Sestri Ponente Aeroporto“ train station. There you can take a regional train "Treno Regionale" direction Savona or Ventimiglia (make sure that it stops to Albisola or Celle Ligure)

GETTING AROUND IN ALBISOLA/CELLE:
Uber is not available in this area, and taxis are rare and prohibitively expensive. Parking in Albisola and surrounding areas is super busy in summer time, and the closer to the beach the crazier it gets. Most hotels/AirBnBs don't have parking. So try to do as much as possible by walking!
Word of caution! Please be careful when participating in traffic in Italy, even on foot: cars and scooters usually don't stop at zebra crossings, and highway merging lanes are usually just 20 meters long and Italian drivers will not stop!! So be careful, and please use the shuttle if possible.
General Accommodation Information
Accommodations go fast in the Italian Riviera in summertime, as it is a popular holiday destination for many Italians. So act fast if you can!
The best places to find accommodations are via TripAdvisor and AirBnB. The wedding is in Celle Ligure but we are staying in Serena's hometown Albisola Superiore (4 km away). If you are looking for a place to rent in Albisola, a convenient location to search in is basically anywhere south of the train tracks and highway that splits Albisola Superiore in two. This area is pretty much walkable to anywhere in Albisola. Albisola Marina, the town next to Albisola Superiore, is also a good place to look for accommodation.
Albisola and Celle are tourist towns and hotels tend to fill up pretty quickly. Savona is a bigger city and not too far but it is not as quaint as Celle Ligure. Finally, Varazze would be another good place to find accommodation if you were not able to find accommodation in Albisola (Superiore/Marina), Celle or Savona.
At the venue there will be parking space. We will provide a shuttle bus from Savona/Albisola to Celle Ligure for the Wedding party, so there is no need to drive to the party. If you are staying in Celle Ligure, you can walk up to the venue by yourself.
Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport
Genoa Airport is the closest airport to get to Celle Ligure. We advice to rent a car from the airport to move around.
