Serena and Giovanni’s love story officially started on July 4, 2019. They had seen each other prior to this day but had never said anything to one another before. However, on July 4th 2019, they exchanged small talk and had made it known that they would like to stay connected in some way. That night, neither of them asked for the other’s phone number.

However, the morning after, Serena and a friend needed to be driven home by Giovanni. When they made it home, Serena had realized that she had accidentally left her duffel bag in Giovanni’s car. So, she texted a mutual friend and asked him if she could get Giovanni’s number. She texted him, asking if she could come to grab her bag from him, and he said he could just drop it off at her work (since she had been working that day). At the time, Serena had been working as a hostess at Bumpers Landing in Harrison Township.

After a few days had passed, Giovanni had texted Serena to ask her out on a date. Serena, of course, said she would love to and the rest is history…

They were inseparable ever since. A couple weeks into dating, Giovanni asked Serena if she would be his girlfriend. Without hesitation, she said “yes.”

However, Giovanni was thinking about the fact that he would be leaving to go play college baseball in West Virginia within a month. Serena was appreciative that he was thinking about this and that he expressed his concerns about the two having to do long-distance. Although it was hard at times, their long journey of long-distance trips, goodnight phone calls, FaceTimes, etc. were all worth it in the end. They are so incredibly excited to celebrate, them becoming one, with you on July 27, 2024.
