We met on June 6th, 2013 thanks to a game of Jenga. Ren was on vacation in Dublin with her close friend (and bridesmaid!), Kelly. Conor was out for after work drinks and food with Stu, the great (AKA Dr. Love). Stu and Conor were in Cassidy’s on Westmoreland Street enjoying a few beers and beginning a game of Jenga. Having not played in literally years, they were doing it wrong and failing to put the extracted piece back up on top of the stack. Enter Ren, who with Kelly had become bored with their first set of vacation friends, and Conor couldn’t help but notice the ball of beautiful energy that had just entered the room. While ordering their first drinks at the bar, Ren and Kelly simply couldn’t let the atrocity that was the guys’ Jenga game continue any longer and had to let Conor and Stu know they were “doing it wrong!” Plus, Ren wanted an excuse to talk to Conor. That round of JENGA turned into a night of bar hopping and laughter. When our vacation came to an end, we spent the next few years keeping in touch, knowing we may never see each other again. Fast forward to March 2015 when Conor made his way to New York for a visit and a job interview. Three months later, in June, we were finally living on the the same continent for the first time, still making each other laugh and falling more in love every day (with our fluffy diva cat Teddy along for the ride). Our journey has brought us here and we can’t wait to share this special day with our friends and family. Let’s party!
