By sheer coincidence—or more likely, fate—Seth and Savannah each chose a summer job at Camp Walt Whitman after google searching “best camps to work for in the US.”




A few days after arriving, a mutual friend introduced the pair and sparks flew. (Pun intended- their first kiss was after the 4th of July fireworks show) They spent the entire summer getting to know each other, sneaking away most nights to go stargazing. Without access to technology, they chose to spend the summer sharing secrets and playing an ungodly amount of board games. Quickly, strangers turned into soulmates.




After camp ended, the dynamic duo spent a few weeks traveling across the country, meeting each other’s loved ones, and realizing that it wasn’t all just a dream. Without even discussing if it was worth it, they began dating long distance. (Seth in Davidson, North Carolina, and Savannah in Eugene, Oregon.) For the next year they each displayed an unwavering commitment to make space for one another in their lives.




Eventually, Seth and Savannah road-tripped to North Carolina, where they moved in together. While Savannah recovered from ACL surgery, they adopted their first pup, Mango, who quickly became the best third wheel anyone could ask for. Of course, due to his competitiveness, Seth had to even the score and tear his own ACL. They then adopted their second pup, Olive and set off as a family of four with 2 bad legs and a million dreams.


They moved their little family to New England to create a life for themselves somewhere completely new. They now both work as autism teachers at a special education school, and feel so fulfilled in the difference they are able to make for kids.


Seth and Savannah are so proud of the life they are building together and can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter surrounded by all of you.
