We can’t wait to celebrate our big day with you! While the wedding is in Canyon Lake, we’ve gathered some great accommodation options in the nearby charming towns of New Braunfels and Gruene. These towns are rich with history and offer great shopping, delicious restaurants, and fun nightlife for those making a weekend of it! Whether you prefer a hotel, a charming inn, or a private rental through VRBO or Airbnb, you’ll find plenty of great choices.
If you’re looking for a lively spot to dine and be entertained, the New Braunfels and Gruene area has no shortage of fun, festive restaurants that blend great food with a vibrant atmosphere. From historic dance halls and riverfront patios to quirky eateries with live music and local flavor, these destinations are perfect for anyone wanting more than just a meal. Whether you’re in the mood for Texas-style barbecue, classic comfort food, or a cold drink while tapping your toes to a local band, you’ll find plenty of places where the energy is as memorable as the menu.
New Braunfels and Gruene are filled with some of our favorite spots! From burgers and brews at Muck & Fuss to Tex-Mex at Lupe Tortilla, there’s something for every craving. For us, though, McAdoo’s Seafood Company will always be extra special! We spent so many of our college date nights and big celebrations there, so it’s basically where our love story was fueled by shrimp and oysters! You can’t go wrong with local staples like Krause’s Café, Mozie's, Gristmill, or Gruene River Grill, all perfect for soaking up Hill Country vibes! If you need to recover after a night of dancing, check out Buttermilk Café for a great brunch! Wherever you end up, you’ll find plenty of good food, cold drinks, and that small-town Texas charm we love!
If you’re looking for a fun spot to grab a drink, New Braunfels and Gruene have no shortage of lively hangouts. From honky-tonks and dance halls with live music to craft breweries and trendy cocktail lounges, the nightlife here is all about good vibes and Texas charm. Whether you’re toasting with a glass of wine on a patio, sipping a local brew, or two-stepping to a country band, you’ll find plenty of ways to keep the celebration going long after dinner!
New Braunfels has some of our favorite watering holes! For a true local classic, PourHaus offers an open-air beer garden and live music almost every night. If you’re looking for cocktails, games, and a little bit of everything, head to The Downtown Social, or stop by Randy Rogers Bar The Lost and Found for a trendy late-night scene. Country music fans will love Cowboys and Cadillacs, where the dance floor stays busy all night long. For something more upscale, grab a cocktail or glass of wine at The Gruene Door. For a more laid-back afternoon, sip craft beer at Guadalupe Brewing or New Braunfels Brewing Company, or enjoy a Hill Country pour at Dry Comal Creek Vineyards or La Cruz de Comal Wines. Wherever you end up, the drinks are cold, the music is lively, and the Hill Country nights are always memorable!
