Our Wedding

Blake and I met at the Hazard Pavilion in the summer of 2011. It was during our lifeguard certification test that Blake caught my eye. I volunteered to pretend to drown because I knew it was the really attractive guys turn (Blake) to save someone. We talked a few times after that, but didn't truly get to know each other and start dating until a year later in August of 2012. I shamelessly flirted with Blake at work until he got the hint to take me on our first date to see, "The Amazing Spiderman." The rest is history. August 12th, 2016 was our four year anniversary!

How We Met

Blake proposed to me during our recent vacation to Panama City Beach, Florida. I thought that it was my idea to go to the beach and take pictures, but what I didn't know was the surprise that Blake had waiting for me. Once on the beach, a photographer, claiming she worked for our resort, ask if we wanted to take family pictures. My mom, Aunt, Blake, and I posed for some family pictures. The photographer then asked if Blake and I were a couple. We said, "yes". She proceeded to ask if she could get some shots of us alone. We took a few different pictures and then she asked Blake to get down on one knee. I turned around and immediately started crying when I saw he was holding out a ring. He asked me to marry him and of course I said YES! He did an amazing job planning everything, he even picked out my dream ring!

How He Proposed

After the wedding, Blake and I plan to continue living in Pikeville. In the fall, Blake will be a third year medical student and I will be a first year medical student. We are very excited to begin this new chapter in our lives as a married couple! As time passes, we ask that you please keep us in your prayers. Thank you all for the support and love you have shown us! We can't wait to see you at our wedding!
