Amit and Shaheen first met each other in front of the UT tower in the Fall of 2010 after a mutual friend had made it her mission to get the two together. Their romance didn't begin until one rainy day when Amit, wanting to incorporate Shaheen's passion of kids, left a note on her door written in crayon asking if she liked him. From that point on their relationship took off.

Following up on an extensive prank war between the two, Amit found a solution that would eventually lead them to a truce. He took Shaheen up to Mount Bonnell during finals week, right before winter break. He slipped another sheet of paper written in crayon inside her notes asking her to be his girlfriend this time. From that point on the two were inseparable.

Even after Shaheen moved back to Dallas and Amit moved to Houston the two have been as strong as ever regardless of the distance. In December 2017, Amit finally decided to take the next step forward and propose. He rented out an art gallery with paintings of them throughout their relationship, which were turned into Disney fairy tales. In the middle of the exhibit was a canvas this time, again written in crayon asking if she would marry him! The rest ends in snowy winters, Longhorn football and competitive marathons.
