Yes, the welcome party will be formal old/retro/classic Hollywood attire.

The venue where the welcome party is held is the site of the very first Academy Awards ceremony in 1929. Any non-modern formal attire is fitting, wear what you would wear to the Oscars in a bygone era!

The wedding is Indian attire with a color scheme of dark gem tones (dark green, navy, deep purple, mustard, black, peacock etc). Please refrain from wearing red (bridal), pastels, or neon.

For women, disclaimer that sarees are very hard to wrap, pleat, + pin and may likely fall off during dancing if you are not accustomed to it.
