What date should I RSVP by?
Kindly RSVP by April 15, 2025.
What time should I arrive at the Buffalo History Museum?
Our Nikkah ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 PM. Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow time for parking and seating. Kindly note that the museum will be open to the public before this time.
Which entrance should I use at the Buffalo History Museum?
After parking in the museum lot, please follow the signs along the side of the building to the museum terrace, where the Nikkah ceremony will take place.
If you need to check your coat or bags, please enter through the front gate next to the parking lot, drop off your items inside, and then return to the terrace to join the ceremony.
Is parking available?
Yes! The museum offers a free parking lot, though it’s also used by visitors to the Japanese gardens. If the lot is full, there’s plenty of free street parking available right in front of the museum.
What is the dress code?
We want you looking your best so dress to impress! We kindly request that guests wear formal attire, with a preference for traditional South Asian (Indian, Bengali, or Pakistani) attire.
If opting for Western attire, we encourage suits and floor-length gowns or dresses.
As our wedding takes place in the spring, surrounded by the beautiful Japanese gardens, we suggest light and colorful spring tones to complement the setting.
Can I bring my children?
Due to the museum’s limited capacity, we can only accommodate children if specified on your invitation. Thank you for your understanding!
Can I bring a plus one?
We are excited to celebrate with our closest family and friends in an intimate setting. If we are able to accommodate a plus one, it will be indicated when you RSVP.
Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions?
We will have multiple entrée options available to accommodate dietary restrictions. When you RSVP, please be sure to select your preferred meal choice. If none of the available options meet your dietary needs, kindly specify this in the notes section during your meal selection.
Please note that we offer certain entrée options prepared halal and it will be noted. Additionally, all grazing table items and hand-passed hors d'oeuvres are entirely pork-free.
Will there be an open bar?
This will be an alcohol-free event. We will be providing a selection of signature custom mocktails, zero proof drinks, and other beverages for you to enjoy. Thank you for respecting our decision.

The Imam (officiant) will recite a few verses from the Quran followed by a short sermon thereafter. The couple is officially wed by affirming their acceptance to be married to each other.
