Joe has always been a romantic from the beginning and Shana the adventurous lone wolf.

As freshmen at Tuskegee University in Alabama in the year 2009, Joe first noticed Shana walking back to her dorm alone after attending a campus party and immediately displayed his chivalrous southern upbringing. Leading the conversation with Snapple facts abut the stars on that clear sky night he politely walked her to the front door of the dormitory. Before departing he offered her a fast food dinner.

As with most historic black college campuses, dormitories are segregated by sex. This was his opportunity to obtain Shana's phone number....because how else would he get the food back to her after visiting hours? He was indeed successful and Shana was fed.

Only for him to save her contact as Albany NY.. because he never caught Shana's name and didn't quite understand where Rochester NY actually was or the location of where her new transfer school would be located....

Only a respectful southern guy like Joe would walk a beautiful college girl back to her dorm hall, after a party, buy her food, and take her phone number...only never to use it!

Homecoming year 2013!!! Shana is visiting Tuskegee University during the best time of the year with friends she made during her first year of college. As the Student Shed was roaring with chants and hype college students, Joe casually locked eyes with Shana through the crowd and shouted "HEY, ALBANY...THATS YOU?". Shana greeted him with a friendly welcoming smile back. After that brief exchange the two separated into the wave of Homecoming escapades and once again nothing more came from it.

From freshman year (2009)with a walk, senior year (2013) spotted in a homecoming crowd, to the beginning of their young adult professional lives taking off...a simple "Happy Birthday" message was FATE's last chance to get these two to actually take a chance on one another...

August 2015.

Shana randomly yet courageously wished Joe a very Happy Birthday via Facebook messaging and Joe immediately engaged in conversation.

October 2015.

Joe visits Rochester NY for the first time.

November 2015.

Shana returns to Tuskegee University Homecoming, this time with Joe by her side as her boyfriend

December 2015.

Joe is head over heels in love with Shana. He returns to Rochester NY and proposes to marry her for the first time. "Will you take adventures with me?"

January 2016.

Shana (and her cat Romeo) pack up to move into Joe's college apartment in Huntsville Alabama as he completes his Masters Program.

After spending months together these two young, wild, free adults separated but never left the strong bond they had formed to perish. They were invested in each other. Became true best friends. shared secrets and passions with one another. Prayed together, wiped away tears from their faces, and so their story continued...

And their Adventures began.
