It all started at Irish Day in Long Beach,NY. Matt and Shana were both at a bar called Minnesota's. Shana accidentally threw a crumpled up paper at Matt and then quickly ran over to him to apologize.

A little later after the initial interaction .

Shana then asked her friend Sam who Matt was. Sam stated "omg Matt! He is the nicest guy and one of Tom's (Sam's bf) friends"

Sam and Tom then went over to Matt and told him that Shana thought he was cute. Matt eventually walked over to Shana to say hi. As soon as Matt approached Shana he was instantly interrogated by Shana's little sister, Brianna (the maid of honor). Brianna had to make sure Matt was a good person first before he made a move on her sister. After Brianna gave her approval Shana and Matt instantly hit it off.

A couple of weeks later Shana and Matt met again at a Halloween party where they again hit it off. That night Matt texted Shana to ask her on a date.

Their first date was at Novita in Garden City. They had some drinks and got to know each other. The conversation was very easy.

They went on a couple more dates to get to know each other and on New Years Eve Matt asked Shana to be his girlfriend. After that the rest was history. They dated for 4 years and then finally

on December 17th 2022 Matt proposed to Shana at Raphael Vineyard (her favorite vineyard).
