Our Story

Two Worlds Collided

Picture of Two Worlds Collided

The times have changed and the ways of dating have become so much more blinded. No longer are the days of meeting in a social setting or within a group of friends, rather now it’s all about which way you “swipe”.

So with one swipe to the right, our story began.

After several conversations through text and phone calls, and with a few separate attempts to meet, January 21st, 2017 marked the date in which we finally layed eyes on one another!

Our first official date was not too long after on Super Bowl Sunday where we whipped through the snow on a snowmobile to later chill at a freinds' for the game.

Second date was a Keg dinner where it was confirmed that we were both on the same page to our life goals.

After visits with starbucks in hand, and long night chats, a spontaneous surprise trip to the Bahamas brought us closer than anyone ever could have expected!!

We returned a whole new couple with a vision of a future together.

In the 7 years of dating we have experienced amazing camping and bike trips with weekend mini dates in between several destination trips all while creating new and fun memories.

We've been through losses together and many gains never loosing sight of oneanother and bringing out the best in eachother.

We continue to bear the challenges of blending our family facing all the milestones together having built a supportive and happy little fam jam.

On a September sunny day a surprise date was planned. Along with two of our closest friends, we headed to a winery in a helicopter. It was then that the question was presented; "Marry Me Sonya" layed out on the Collingwood Fair Grounds ( a huge thanks to other close friends who helped make this happen).

With a few other words expressed lol , the answer of YES was shouted out!!!

And here we are today.

The rest is our journey and fairytale story that we will continue to share.
