Our story began at Holland Christian High School, where we secretly liked each other but were too shy to talk- we seemingly unintentionally passed each other in the hallway between class daily. On June 16, 2021, we went on our first date to La Crème in Zeeland and the rest is history!

A few of our favorite memories and foundational moments… sunsets on Lake Michigan, walks outside, family game nights, traveling throughout Israel, traditions at Taylor University, and studying abroad in Ecuador (Lydia) and Budapest (Shane). Life together has been full of laughter, adventure, spontaneity, and joy. More than anything, our relationship has been rooted in our love for Jesus and the way He’s guided each step of our journey.

After more than 4 years of dating, or 1,499 days of dating, we got engaged on the beach. We can’t wait for June 20 to come, as a celebration of giving thanks to the Lord for his goodness and faithfulness he has shown to us in our relationship. We want to stand in front of our favorite people to commit to each other every day for the rest of our lives.
