A little over six years ago, in the summer of 2019, God brought us together in a way that still feels like divine timing. With what seemed like countless mutual friends, it was almost unbelievable that our paths hadn't crossed before. But when they finally did, we connected instantly, talking every day, nearly all day long, as if our hearts had known each other forever.
One of our very first dates was a Lee Brice concert on September 20th, 2019. Exactly five years later on September 20th, 2024, we found ourselves at a Morgan Wallen concert in Knoxville, Tennessee, this time, celebrating our engagement. These years together have been more than just a journey of love; they have been a walk of faith. Each step has drawn us closer not only to one another, but also to the Lord, who has been our constant guide and source of strength.
Through every season, joyful and challenging, we have never walked alone. God has faithfully held us, and we have held each other, for better or for worse. This year especially reminded us how precious life truly is, and how merciful our Savior is to bless us with the gift of sharing it together.
Knowing how sacred and fleeting time can be, we felt in our hearts that waiting any longer to become husband and wife was simply not an option. If you're reading this, please know how deeply we love you. You've played a meaningful role in our story, and we cannot imagine our long-awaited, special day without you there to celebrate with us.
In honor of our southern roots and the spirit of the day, we kindly ask our guests to dress in Western Cocktail attire to help create an elevated and heartfelt celebration.
For the ladies: cocktail dresses or floor length dresses. Pair them with dressy boots or heels that are ready for dancing.
For the gentlemen: dress pants or polished jeans, boots, and your best western-style dress shirt will fit right in. Cowboy hats and jackets are warmly welcomed as part of the charm.
As we prepare to celebrate this sacred and joyful day, we kindly ask that our ceremony remain an adult-only occasion unless your little ones are specifically included in your invitation. We hope this gives parents the chance to enjoy a well-deserved evening out, celebrating love, friendship, and the blessings of togetherness.
Thank you for understanding and for being part of this special chapter in our lives.
