It was a lonely day in September of 2024 when Shanel decided to reopen her Match.com account. She was very skeptical about online dating but decided to give it another shot. After swiping left on a bunch of profiles she came across one with a guy wearing Buffalo Bills gear. Of course, that instantly caught her attention. He talked about how he was a part of the Mafia, and also how he was a season ticket holder for not only the Buffalo Bills but the Sabres and Amerks as well. Shanel was intrigued so she decided what the heck and swiped right. After only a short 24hrs of being on match she was matched with Bryan. Never in her wildest dreams did she think that swipe right was the first day of the rest of her life. After talking for a few days online they both decided it was time to meet in person. They set a day, picked a time, and chose a place. The big day came, and Shanel was super nervous. She had thought about cancelling on Bryan a million times. She was trying to think of what excuse she could give to get out of it. As mentioned before online dating was not really her thing. In the past she would set up dates and then cancel right before for some made up reason. But something felt different this time to her, so she bit the bullet and did not cancel. Now I will say the location choice may not have been the safest decision that Shanel could have made seeing as it was a first date at Bryan's house. However, she did inform her Bestie and Matron of Honor Kaitlin of her plans. She gave her the address and shared her location. Then said if you do not hear from me, he must have killed me, so now you have to kill him lol. As you all see both Bryan and Shanel are alive and well. The first date went great! They continued to see each other more and more. They were hitting it off! Then October 5th came, and Bryan asked Shanel to be his girlfriend. Shanel delightfully said YES! Ever since then, they have been creating lasting memories every day. Going to concerts, Buffalo Bills games, Sabres games, Amerks games, dinners, staying in, taking trips to Nashville (multiple), Pittsburgh, Buffalo, and many more. They are always on the go! Now comes THE BIG DAY! The proposal day. The day that Bryan made all of Shanel's dreams come true. When he proposed to her on Highmark field! I will say the day did not start of smooth. It was kind of a rushy/anxious day. They both worked, had to go to Lockport to drop the girls (Knoxy &amp; Poyer) off to Aunt Kaitlin, go to the Bills stadium experience to purchase yet another set of seats in the new stadium (lol), then go right to a public tour of Highmark Stadium with besties Kaitlin &amp; Corey. Bryan was already irritated with Shanel (SHOCKER) because her and Kaitlin may have had a few adult beverages while dropping the girls off which made them slightly late to the stadium experience (Again.. SHOCKER). They get to the experience and purchase two more seats in the new stadium with friend Aaron Baker. EXCITING!! Then comes the stadium tour at Highmark. The tour is going well; there tour guide Bill is AMAZIMG! They are all having a great time being in the place they all love. But Shanel noticed Bryan was on his phone a lot. She was quite irritated with that and yelled at him a few times to get off of his phone. Shanel has no idea or suspicions about what is going to transpire soon. They get to the part of the tour where they are on the field. Shanel thinks all three of them are acting a little weird (Kaitlin, Corey, &amp; Bryan). Kaitlin &amp; Bryan were kneeling down and touching the turf, all three of them were kind of quiet, Bryan was on his phone again, Corey had a big blue tooth speaker in his back pocket, Bryan was having an in-depth conversation with the tour guide Bill. Some things just seemed suspicious. At this point Shanel was like hmm maybe this is happening, so she was now paying attention to and looking at everything. A little bit more time goes on and then they leave the field and start to exit the stadium. Shanel was like okay nope I was wrong! Once they were at the gates and everyone else from the tour was leaving is when Bill turned the four of them around and said that the four of them bought a private on field experience. Light bulbs started going off in Shanel's head again and she was like maybe I was not so crazy before. The entire walk back to the field Shanel's heart is racing, she feels like she can barely walk or breath, she's freaking out! They get back to the field and there's about 25ppl at the other end. Bill states that it's another tour, but its past fooling Shanel at this point. They get to mid field, and the magic all starts to happen. Shanel watches cameos from Ryan Fitzpatrick and Dion Dawkins that Bryan had made for her, she listens to an amazing song that he wrote for her, and he gets down on his knee and asks her to marry him! Shanel of course said YES! When Shanel turned around all of her closest friends and family were there to celebrate the night with them! The night was so amazing Shanel slightly blacked out at times. Bryan couldn't have done a better job! Now here they are today!! They are getting married!! 10/10/2026! Kotecki's Grandview Grove. LET'S DO THE DAMN THING!!!

Bryan was living the dream—single, thriving at work, and raising his three beloved fur babies: Harlie, Shelby, and Lexie. Life was good, filled with tail wags, purrs, and just the right amount of chaos. Then one day, while casually swiping on Match, he saw her. A Bills fan. That was all it took. The spark was instant, and from that moment on, it was a match made in heaven (and Buffalo).From the very first date, Bryan knew Shanel was different. He still can’t quite put his finger on what makes her so special—but he just knew. Shanel quickly became not only an amazing girlfriend, but also a loving mom to Bryan’s furry trio. And when Bryan met Shanel’s own fur babies, it was clear: the Brady Bunch was being reimagined—minus the boys, and with four legs instead of two.Together, they’ve built a home filled with laughter, love, and a whole lot of pet hair (that Shanel is allergic to). Now, they celebrate the next chapter of their story—one that started with a swipe, bonded over football, and grew into a family that’s anything but ordinary.

Shanel has known Kaitlin for her entire life. Growing up they lived across the street from each other on good ole south Livonia rd. These days It is not a normal night if Shanel and Kaitlin are not on facetime together with the whole Balcerzak clan! Kaitlin has been there through it all. The ups... The downs... The good... And the bad... Shanel loves and values Kaitlin's friendship more than she will ever know. I am not sure what Shanel would do without Kaitlin. Just ask Kaitlin's husband Corey who thinks the two of them should be the ones getting married, lol. Kaitlin being one of the Matron of Honor's was a no brainer for Shanel. Shanel stood by Kaitlin on the day of her wedding, and now Shanel cannot wait for Kaitlin to stand by her on her wedding day!    

Kaitlin Balcerzak 

Erin has been Shanel's bestie and partner in crime since the day that they walked into Miss Bonadona's class in the 6th grade. They both instantly knew that they would be lifelong soulmates. They have come a long way since grade school though... Where you could find them sitting in ISS for getting caught having adult beverages at school dances or being blamed for bomb threats while sitting in ISS. Funny story.... Livonia High School now administers a breathalyzer to anyone entering a school dance because of Shanel and Erin. Boy did they know how to have a good time! Now you can find them still having a good time, just doing it legally lol. Whether Erin is 5 miles away or 5,000 miles away they never skip a beat.  Shanel stood by Erin on the day of her wedding, and now Shanel cannot wait for Erin to stand by her on her wedding day!     

Erin Toorie 

Erica and Shanel met back in 2008 when they both went to college together at MCC. It was a glorious Thirsty Thursday when Erica walked into Shanel's apartment at Riverton Knolls, and she basically never walked back out. Back in the day you could have found them at the club on east and Alexzander getting into trouble, or binge watching the Hannah Montanna movie over and over again. Now you can find them still binge watching the Hannah Montanna movie just minus the club and getting into trouble parts. Shanel stood by Erica on the day of her wedding, and now Shanel cannot wait for Erica to stand by her on her wedding day!    

Erica Schuster 

Jen is Shanel's sister-in-law. Married to Shanel's older brother Shane. Shanel was so happy when Jen came along to keep Shane in line. Now she has been doing it and doing it well for years! From pool parties, to family holiday parties, to family trips. Shanel and Jen always have a good time! Also, we cannot forget about the upcoming highly anticipated trip to Hawaii that Shanel, Byran, Shane, and Jen are taking! Shanel loves Jen so much, she couldn't ask for a better sister-in-law! Shanel stood by Jen on the day of her wedding, and now Shanel cannot wait for Jen to stand by her on her wedding day!    

Jen Levey 

Brandi and Shanel went to high school together, but their friendship really flourished years later when Brandi started dating Shanel's younger brother AJ. Shanel is so thankful that Brandi came back into her life. Brandi is Shanel's friend and sister who Shanel loves very much. Shanel is just waiting for Brandi to come to her sense and move back home from Florida.

Work Besties turned to real life Besties! It all started at the famous DoubleTree in Henrietta. I guess they do have one thing to thank that place for. Their friendship, which Shanel values very deeply. You can find Shanel and Val playing euchre or any other game at their famous game nights!

Kim is another DoubleTree Bestie! Even though they have moved on from the DoubleTree and on to bigger and better things, Kim and Shanel are still as close as ever! Shanel will always be thankful to the DoubleTree for brining Kim into her life. You can also find Kim at Val's for game night with Shanel.

Shanel met Brittany through longtime hometown friend Steve Bollin. Steve picked a good one that's for sure! Brittany is the sweetest and most genuine person you will ever meet. Shanel is so happy that Brittany has come into her life! You can find Shanel and Brittany crafting away together!

Tonya (aka Serena Williams) and Shanel went to High School together. But the two of them really became close when Shanel moved in with Tonya on Park Ave in Rochester. They had great times together on Park Ave and set the groundwork for a lifelong friendship that Shanel values very much. Shanel is the one who introduced Tonya to her husband Nate! Shanel stood by Tonya on the day of her wedding, and now Shanel cannot wait for Tonya to stand by her on her wedding day!

Danny has been Bryan’s older brother for 39 years—and his senior by a full decade. That’s ten extra years of life experience, ten extra years of questionable fashion choices, and ten extra years of knowing exactly how to push Bryan’s buttons. As Best Man, Danny brings a lifetime of stories, most of which Bryan hopes will remain untold.

Growing up, Danny was the trailblazer:  Whether it was teaching Bryan how to ride a bike, or navigate adulthood, Danny’s been the steady hand and the always the instigator. He’s the kind of brother who knows when to give advice, when to give space, and when to give a hard time—usually all in the same conversation.

Danny steps into the spotlight not just as Best Man, but as Bryan’s lifelong wingman, protector, and partner-in-crime. hopefully for all the right reasons.

Shane is the proud older brother of Shanel, and today he stands as a groomsman with quiet strength and unwavering support. Known for his loyalty, sharp wit, and big-brother instincts, Shane has always been someone you can count on—whether it’s showing up when it matters or keeping things grounded when emotions run high.

As part of this special day, Shane brings not just family ties, but a steady presence and a heart full of pride for his sister and the journey ahead.

AJ is Shanel’s younger brother, which means he’s spent a lifetime mastering the art of quiet observation, perfectly timed sarcasm, and knowing exactly when to stir the pot. As a groomsman, AJ brings chill vibes, sharp wit, and the kind of subtle humor that sneaks up on you mid-toast.

Whether he’s dropping one-liners that leave the room laughing or casually roasting Bryan with a straight face, AJ’s presence is always felt—even if he’s not the loudest guy in the room. He’s the kind of brother who’s always got your back, but might also remind you of that one embarrassing moment... just for balance.

Today, AJ steps into the spotlight (reluctantly, probably) to celebrate his sister and her new adventure—with style, swagger, and maybe a few surprise zingers.

Aaron—known to most as “A-A-Ron”—has been part of Bryan’s life for over 13 years, starting with their time together in the fire department. Originally good friends with Bryan’s brother Danny, Aaron quickly became a fixture in Bryan’s world, especially once football entered the picture.

Bryan had season tickets to Bills games and needed a partner in crime. Aaron went once... and never looked back. Well, except for that one time Bryan found him flat on his back after “slipping on the ice”—a moment that lives in infamy and group texts. Since then, their game-day rituals have become legendary, from tailgates to heartbreaks to hopeful chants of “this is our year.”

Now proud ticket holders in the new stadium, Aaron and Bryan are counting down the days until they can finally attend the Bills Super Bowl Parade. Someday. Hopefully. Maybe. Please?

And if you can’t find them in the stands, check the parking lot—they might’ve left early, only to miss the greatest comeback of the season. Down 15 with 4 minutes left? No problem for the Bills. Thanks again for that one, A-A-Ron.

Through wins, losses, and icy slips, Aaron has been a loyal friend, a trusted confidant, and now, a Best Man ready to celebrate Bryan’s biggest win yet.

Travis and Bryan have been friends for... well, no one’s entirely sure. Somewhere around 15 years, give or take a few foggy ones. The first decade is a bit of a blur—possibly due to head-butting incidents or questionable nights at Rookies—but what’s clear is that their friendship has stood the test of time (and the occasional concussion).

Among the many memories that come to mind, two stand out: Travis somehow dirtying the roof of Bryan’s Jeep during a ride home (don’t ask), and the kind of head-butting that’s more symbolic of brotherhood than actual aggression. Through it all, Travis has been a constant presence—loyal, hilarious, and always up for whatever adventure Bryan throws his way.

Even after Travis went and got married to his amazing wife Megan and moved 45 minutes away, the bond never faded. Whether it’s catching up over drinks, reminiscing about the Jeep incident, or just showing up when it matters most, Travis has remained one of Bryan’s closest friends.

He’s here not just as a groomsman, but as living proof that true friendship can survive time, distance, and even a few blurry years.

Jason and Bryan have shared nearly 15 years of friendship—though if you ask either of them, it feels like they've known each other forever. Through Bryan’s best days and toughest moments, Jason has always been there: steady, loyal, and ready with a plan that usually involves a road trip and a cold drink.

Most of their adventures have led to one place—Baltimore. Jason, practically an honorary local, took it upon himself to teach Bryan the fine art of drinking in Charm City. From dive bars to rooftop spots, he showed Bryan the ropes with the precision of a seasoned guide and the enthusiasm of a best friend.

Then there was that trip to see some guy named Billy Joel. While most people went for the music, Bryan had one mission: a pretzel from Fell’s Point. And yes, he got it. That moment pretty much sums up their dynamic—Jason plans the experience, Bryan finds the snack, and somehow it all turns into a memory worth keeping.

Jason stands beside Bryan not just as a groomsman, but as a brother in spirit, a travel buddy, and a reminder that the best friendships are built on laughter, loyalty, and maybe a few pretzels.

Andy and Bryan have been friends and co-workers for almost a decade—though technically, Bryan kind of works for him... indirectly... through a different company. Titles aside, their bond has grown stronger year after year, built on mutual respect, shared goals, and a healthy dose of workplace sarcasm.

Their friendship has extended beyond office walls and into the world, quite literally. From countless meetings to memorable work trips—including their adventure to Spain in March of 2025 or Pennsylvania in July 2025—Andy and Bryan have proven that business and friendship can absolutely mix, especially when hummus and crown are involved.

Whether they’re navigating project deadlines or foreign cities, Andy has always been someone Bryan can count on: steady, sharp, and genuinely supportive. Today, Andy stands not just as a groomsman, but as a trusted friend who’s been part of Bryan’s journey through career highs, life milestones, and now, the biggest celebration of all.

Corey is the husband to matron of honor Kaitlin Balcerzak. However, he is so much more than just our officiant. We couldn't imagine this day without him playing a major role in it. He mid as well be another groomsman. His organized, calm, cool, and collected demeanor make him the perfect person for this job.

Leighton is the daughter to one of the Matron of Honors, Kaitlin. She is Aunt Shanel's first niece who is only spoiled by her slightly. Leighton cannot wait to be an actual princess for Aunt Shanel's wedding and to get her hair, nails, and make up done!

Lexington is also the daughter of one of the matrons of honor, Kaitlin. This little spit fire might steal the show on the day of! She cannot wait to be a princess with her sister Leighton.

Carson is the son of Shanel's brother Shane (groomsman) and her sister-in-law Jen (bridesmaid). Shanel adores Carson to pieces. This little ladies' man is going to be too worried about where all of his girl friends are to walk down the aisle.

Landon is the son to one of the matrons of honor, Kaitlin. This little cutie made Shanel an aunt for the first time. He taught her how to spoil him like no other. The joke is on Aunt Shanel now though because she cannot show up without a present.

Lawson is the son and the grand finale to the Balcerzak party of six! Good thing he is the last or who knows if mom and dad would have kept going after this little dare devil. The ring bearer crew wouldn't be complete without this little cutie and master of destruction.

This 3-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and a business center. The hotel has an indoor pool and luggage storage space. At the hotel, the rooms have a desk. There will be a shuttle service before and after the wedding for guests to utilize. BEFORE - The shuttle will start at 4pm and make continuous runs to Kotecki's until 5:15pm. The first shuttle will leave the hotel for Kotecki's at 4pm sharp. Be there by 3:45pm to catch the first shuttle. The last shuttle will leave the hotel for Kotecki's at 5:15pm sharp.
