Our Wedding

&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; Only God could've orchestrated our meeting in a private Christian libertarian Facebook group because of a mutual friend.&#160;&#160; We talked for 4 months before our first date on July 9, 2022. We enjoyed getting to know each other over the next few months, and by Christmas, we were a couple. By the Spring of 2023, we were celebrating our 40th birthdays together and meeting each other's families. 
&#160;&#160; 
&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the 150 miles between us with many adventures in beautiful and interesting places. Through it all, we continued to connect deeper in our faith and enjoy learning about our dreams and fears. 
 
&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; In November of 2024, Shanna went on family vacation to Oak Island, NC with Evan and his whole family, and upon our return, she stayed in NY. Two and a half years together and the distance was becoming too much. 
 
2025 has been an amazing year of learning how to do everyday life together. This past October, Evan bought a second home in Southwest New Hampshire near Shanna's mom and our friends. Our joint commitments to New Hampshire have meant the trips continue back and forth, just now, we go together. 
 
This led to a week-long trip this past August when Evan suggested a hike to a lookout point. As perfectly fitting, he proposed at the top, and of course Shanna said YES!
 
Thank you so much for joining us to celebrate this monumental milestone of getting married. We are both excited to see what God has in store for our future. One thing we know, the best is yet to come!

* By car: Poughkeepsie is on the east side of the Mid Hudson Bridge, and the venues are 5 minutes from there. 
&#160;&#160; The Hotel has said we can use their parking garage for the entirety of the day. There is also a public parking garage next to the church. 
 
* By train: Both Amtrack and MTA run into Poughkeepsie

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
&#160;to&#160;Poughkeepsie, NY. The options balance cost, convenience, and speed.
 
Option 1: Public Transportation (Train)
This is the most economical option, ideal for budget-conscious travelers with manageable luggage. The journey involves a few transfers.

. Taking the LIRR is more direct to a major Manhattan station than the subway.
&#8226; Manhattan to Poughkeepsie:&#160;From&#160;
Grand Central Terminal, take the Metro-North Railroad (MNR) Hudson Line directly to the&#160;Poughkeepsie station&#160;(the final stop).
&#8226; Alternatively, from&#160;Penn Station (Moynihan Train Hall), you can take an Amtrak train to Poughkeepsie, which is sometimes faster but may have fewer departures and higher costs.
&#8226; Booking:&#160;You can find schedules and book tickets on the&#160;MTA Metro-North website&#160;or the&#160;Amtrak website.
 
Option 2: Rideshare or Taxi (Uber/Lyft/Taxi)
