May 2011 - Shanna shot her shot… messaged Tyler in a very cringy Facebook message calling him cute but nothing came from it. Remember, at this time, Shanna was a Sophomore in high school, Tyler a Freshman at MSU. Props to her for the confidence.

April 2014 - Tyler commented on Shanna’s Facebook post after wrapping up her freshman year at WMU. This really stuck with her; the *guy* noticed her?!
A week weeks later, Tyler shot his shot on Facebook messenger… asked for Shanna’s number and she said no! 45 minutes later she gave it, haha.

On and off through the years we kept contact, went to events together, and flirted quite a bit.

July 2020- Shanna moved into Matt and Lauren’s house in Grand Rapids, same city as Tyler. We quickly became inseparable!

October 5th, 2020- The beginning of forever!

October 20th, 2023- Tyler proposed (really really)!

October 5th, 2024- We can’t wait to get married with our closest friends and family by our sides!!
