In late 2021, Brandon accepted a contract as a travel nurse at a small hospital in Supply, NC. Mary (Shannah's mom) and Cindy (Mary's work bestie) work as respiratory therapists at that same small hospital. Mary and Cindy started their research (aka social media stalking, background checks, etc.) on this new, tall nurse from Texas. Once cleared, and long story short, we were very strongly encouraged to meet.

In late January of 2022, we met for dinner one night at K38 Baja Grill in Wilmington, NC. Hitting it off would be an understatement. From there, we explored Wilmington together for about one year until Brandon had to return to Texas for work. A year of long distance was tough, but the visits (to TX, NC, and Fl) to see each other were so sweet.

On February 7 of 2024 Brandon proposed at the Grand Wailea Wedding Chapel in Maui, Hawaii, the same wedding chapel that Shannah's parents were married in 30 years ago. She said yes!

Brandon was then accepted to UTMB's first ever Nurse Anesthesia Program in Galveston, TX. Shannah accepted a pediatrics job in Galveston, TX. And with the gracious help of Mrs. Terri (Brandon's mom), we found the most adorable house in Galveston, TX to call home for the next 3 years.

Fast forward to present day... we are incredibly thankful that God used our loved ones to bring us together. We firmly believe that our relationship has been hand-picked by our loving Father. This is just the beginning and we are so excited for what's to come.
