Shannan and Mat's story is actually a bit of an interesting one, that shows true love always finds a way. They met many years ago when they were in high school, through mutual friends as well as being band nerds together. Mat had a big crush on her but was too chicken to make a move. Fast forward to 2019 when Mat was in his final year of law school at West Virginia University. Mat went out with some friends one night for a taco Tuesday and of course some margs. Scrolling through facebook talking to the only other guy there when he came across Shannan again and just kept going on and on about how pretty she is and how much he still had a crush on her. His friend looked at him and said, "what have you got to lose?". One marg led to another and one thing led to another and Mat very confidently, albeit with a little help, slid into her DMs on facebook and hit her with a "text me sometime?"

Little did Mat know, Shannan would text him at 6am as she was getting ready for work and woke up to it thinking it was a dream. Some hours later Mat would realize it wasn't and went into a panic. He played it cool and after they had got to talking again they met up at a park in their hometown. When Shannan got out of the car and saw Mat for the first time in 10 years, she said something that neither of them will forget... "damn you got tall!"

Their life together has been nothing short of incredible since then. Mat would ask Shannan to be his girlfriend on July 13th, 2019 and would propose to her in August of 2022 in Virginia, after a fun week, which is a whole other story for another time. They just recently bought their first home in June of 2022 where they live with their fur family of 3 dogs (Gadget [RIP], Dexter, and Storm), and 4 cats (Pidge, Racer, Button, and Zion aka Smol).

Now Shannan and Mat are ready to make their love for each other eternal and they cannot wait to celebrate this monumental occasion with you!
