Great pub food, James-approved wings, and rotating specialty sauces - what more could you ask for? And if you are in the area and haven't been to their sister location, Union Jack's Congo Hotel, you're truly missing out. We'd love if you would stop in and support one of our favorite local, family (friend)-owned businesses! We know you'll love it too.
Great coffee, great sandwiches, great view of the junk yard! Sounds weird, but this cafe is incredible and is a great lunch spot to keep in mind for the weekend. Shannon recommends any of the breakfast toasts, but especially the egg salad or cucumber and dill cream cheese. If you're super hungry, go for the steel chicken or rose gold Detroit pizza. And don't forget the iced French toast latte!
What's better than a wedding that comes with a history assignment? Take a tour of the Glencairn museum on the same property as the reception will be held. You'll learn about the Pitcairn family who built and lived in the reception venue and see a lot of other cool old stuff!
After a long hiatus for renovations, Bryn Athyn Thrift Shop has finally re-opened its doors in a beautiful new building full of trinkets and treasures! The universe and the thrift gods came together on this one to have one of Shannon's favorite thrift stores of all time back up and running just in time for the wedding.
One of Shan's favorite local thrift stores! Every nook and cranny is filled with amazing, cheap, vintage goodies. Don't forget to go in the back!
A James-approved local brewery with food trucks and occasional live music!
Cheesesteak egg rolls? Yes. Chicken cheesesteak nachos? Yes. Fried pickles? Also yes.
Yo Adrian! Be sure to tag the bride and groom in your Rocky recreation pic :)
Of course, if you're from out of town, we strongly recommend taking a quick trip to Philly on your way home. We promise not to throw snowballs or climb any lamp posts until after you leave. Scouts' honor.
There will be a Constitution pop quiz during cocktail hour, so study up!
