Shannon's Version:

One of my best friends, Shawnee, was putting together a new volleyball team and was asking various staff at the hospital to join (of course I jumped on board).

There were a couple of new players on the team, one of the them being Chris. At first, I thought he was dating someone, as he paid his team dues with a check which had the names: Christopher Hagy & Kristan Dixon.

Later on it comes out that "Kristan Dixon" is actually his mother! Haha. We went on our first date a couple of weeks later and never looked back :)

Chris' Version:

My hood friend Shawnee asked if I played sports to which I responded by saying I play soccer. Then she asked if I played real sports and I said sometimes.

Turns out Shannon thought I was dating my mom so we didn't talk much at first. We eventually figured things out and went on a date where she ate all of my food. I've been fighting her regular encroachments on my dinner plate ever since.
