Kyle & Shannon met through mutual friends, and quickly became close, hanging out every weekend- mini Friday through Sunday.

Shannon decided it was time to see the world and made an impulsive decision to up and move to Australia, and eventually moved to beautiful Whistler, BC. With the distance, their friendship drifted but they would casually stay in touch.

During COVID, Shannon was laid off for a short time and made the decision to fly home to Mississauga (yes, that's right, she boarded a plane in the pandemic!) and after reaching out to Kyle, he became the one person in her bubble based on Ontario's dreadfully strict regulations. Little did she know, the decision to hang out with Kyle for the 3 weeks she was in Ontario, would turn into a life long romance.

When Shannon got the phone call to come back to work, she booked a flight and headed back to BC, but not before inviting Kyle to come for a visit. He booked a flight and landed in BC a month later for a week long vacation, that turned into a year on the West Coast.

Here we are 5 years later, back in the GTA, with a house, a baby and getting married!
