What if I don’t RSVP?
If you neither decline nor RSVP, and attend the wedding you WILL BE BILLED FOR YOUR FOOD, DRINK, SEAT, AND THE $35 PER GUEST.
No Exceptions.
Welcome to our Q+A!
Please read ALL of the following carefully before sending your RSVP! Contact the bride for any questions!
Dress code?
Dress code is semi-formal or fantasy outfits. Anything Lord of the Rings adjacent is welcome! We would love our special day to feel right out of a fairytale. Please wear shoes appropriate for walking on grass and gravel. Please no jeans, cowboy boots, white or white adjacent attire.
If any questions please contact the bride!
What is an 'Unplugged Ceremony'?
An Unplugged Ceremony means that absolutely no cellphones, iPads, cameras, or anything of the like are allowed.
There will be a basket where you can leave your phone before the ceremony, and you can collect it immediately after the ceremony concludes.
Cellphones are A-Okay for the rest of the day!
If you bring a phone to the ceremony, you will be billed accordingly for any compromised videography or photography.
Can I bring my kids?
No children under the age of 15 are allowed. If any uninvited underage guests arrive, you will be billed accordingly for their food, drinks, seat, any compromised videography or photography, and any other complications or damages to the venue.
May I bring a plus one?
No, if any uninvited guests arrive with you, they may stay, however you will billed accordingly for their food, drinks, and seat.
Contact bride with any questions.
Furry Friends?
Unfortunately you may not bring your own, but there will be a few four legged friends participating in our wedding. Dogs and horses on the property are a guarantee. Chickens, ducks, cats, and the like may be out and about. You may feed the horses during cocktail hour, but you may NOT enter the pastures or stables. Guests are NOT permitted to ride the horses. Dogs will be leashed at all times.
Food Allergies/Sensitivities?
Our dinner and desserts will be nut free, however we are unable to include all dietary options in our budget. If your allergies are severe, we suggest bringing a snack and eating beforehand, just in case.
Alcohol?
All alcohol MUST be served by the venue bartender.
Parking?
Parking is free, and there is a parking attendant provided by our venue.
Where to stay?
Our budget does not allow us to book a hotel block as the majority of our guests are coming from afar.
There is a large amount of cabin rentals and Airbnb's around the Townsend and Maryville area. Townsend is more quaint, Alcoa and Maryville are the closest larger cities where you will find a traditional hotel.
Our Venue
Our gracious hosts for our special day are April Jopling and her son Jeffery. They have been incredibly helpful and supportive during our planning, and the wedding is all thanks to them.
That being said...
The Jopling Family resides on the venue's upper property. This is their home. The animals are their family and livelihood.
Please treat the venue and it's residents with the utmost respect, as they've allowed us all into their home.
Thank you!
